Crawling at last

Jessamie started crawling this week, which comes as a relief to us all, as she has been extremely frustrated for some time. Having been only able to go backwards for a couple of weeks, its really opened up the possibilities for her (and has suddenly made every room seem a lot more dangerous to me!). Her style of crawling is a bit lop sided - more of a one knee and one foot, as she seems to half want to walk, rather than crawl, but she gets along pretty well. The only problem now is finding stair gates narrow enough for our stairway - we've found one for the top, but so far not for the bottom, but hopefully it'll be a little while before she starts climbing up the stairs.

Spain

We've just returned from a lovely week on the Costa Blanca, with 'Granny' and 'Grandpa'. We really liked the villa, and enjoyed the setting and the wider area. It was great to get out on a driving tour of the inland mountains. Spectacular views, hair-raising winding mountain roads and pretty villages. We also chanced upon an amazing cave which had been discovered in 1919. Like the inside of some beautiful fairy grotto, it was full of stalactites and stalagmites, and rocks glittering with crystals. Another day we took a trip along the coast to some pretty little towns. Most of the rest of the time was spent around the pool, enjoying long lunches and dinners, with one particularly memorable lunch in Denia at a very nice place indeed...
